Attorneys from Sony, Solar Turbines and ABEO will engage a rich discussion about unique perspectives on practice as African-American in-house counsel. Our general membership meeting will include important updates about Neighborhood Law School, Bar Study Scholarships, the Annual Dinner on November 8th and the rest of our “in-house series” designed to help EBGBA members understand the world of practice in-house and being a good outside counsel to corporate clients. We will be joined by three corporate attorneys. Shacasey Rogers is General Counsel for abeo Management Corporation. She has worked in the physician practice management and billing industry for approximately fourteen years and focuses on corporate governance, contracting, regulatory compliance and employment-related matters. Shaka Johnson is a Senior Attorney at Sony Electronics, where he is the lead attorney for the U.S. post-sales support and promotions group and manages litigation and product safety matters. William Maynie IV is corporate counsel at Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar company, where he provides legal advice on a range of business needs in support of Solar Turbines’ complex business operations.
Come join fellow EBGBA members, BLSA students and others in our community as we explore the important career options that working as corporate counsel can create.
