Yahairah Aristy
Yahairah Aristy is a Deputy Public Defender in the Public Defender’s Office for the County of San Diego handling felony cases. Yahairah is the Vice President for the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation (EBGBF) board and the Chair of the 2018 EBGBF Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala. She previously served as Secretary and the 2017 Co-Chair for the Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala. Yahairah also serves on the Lawyers Club of San Diego board and is the Co-Affiliate Governor board member for the California Women Lawyers (CWL) board. Yahairah Co-Chairs for Lawyers Club the Membership Development Committee and previously Co-Chair the Law Student Outreach Committee. Yahairah co-chairs the CWL Elect to Run 2018 Program. Yahairah serves on additional boards aimed at advancing the status of women in the law and elected office and improving the lives of at-risk youth. Yahairah earned her Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University.
